About the role
Mater Adult Cardiovascular Investigations Unit is seeking the skills and experience of a qualified Vascular Sonographer to join our enthusiastic team on a permanent part-time basis with flexible working hours, 32 hours per week.
The Mater Adult Cardiovascular Investigation Unit provides a range of complex diagnostic cardiac and vascular testing. Within the unit we have a comprehensive vascular service which performs a variety of arterial and venous Duplexes, including arterio-venous fistula workup and surveillance and chronic venous insufficiency duplex. We also perform non-invasive physiological testing such as ABI and claudication exercise stress testing as a part of our growing service.
Salary range: $66.58 - $71.64 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
Working as part of our multidisciplinary team including Medical, Professional, Nursing and Administrative staff, you will enjoy providing high quality health care in a friendly working environment. You will have the opportunity to be involved with educational training sessions to build on your skills and experience.
- Delivering high level vascular ultrasound clinical services
- Provide clinical practice education and supervision to less experienced staff and other practitioners to ensure the maintenance of professional clinical standards within Cardiovascular Investigations
- Actively participate in the development and implementation of clinical practices procedures and protocols to continually enhance the delivery of vascular services
About you
You are a skilled and dedicated vascular sonographer committed to delivering high-quality cardiovascular diagnostic services and contributing to a collaborative and innovative clinical environment.
- Hold a tertiary degree qualification in physiological sciences and are an accredited member of the Australian Sonographers Accreditation Register
- Valid Blue Card is required
- Minimum of two years of post-graduate clinical experience, with vascular surgery-specific ultrasound experience considered highly advantageous
- Demonstrate advanced vascular ultrasound skills, including investigation and interpretation of carotid, limb arteries and veins, DVT, renal, aorto-iliac, mesenteric vessels, treadmill Doppler and fistula mapping.
- Work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Experience providing training and supervision to junior team members and students, ensuring professional clinical standards are upheld
- Actively contribute to the development and implementation of clinical practice procedures, protocols and service improvements
