Nestled within the luxurious surrounds of Crown Perth, Gladstones Wine Bar is an intimate and elegant destination celebrating the very best of Western Australian wine. Named in honour of Dr John Gladstones, the visionary who helped shape WA’s world-renowned wine regions, Gladstones offers a curated collection of premium local, Australian and international wines in a refined, welcoming environment.
With approximately 40 seats, a thoughtfully curated menu of antipasto-style offerings, exclusive wine tastings, private events and an exceptional wine program, Gladstones is designed for guests who appreciate outstanding hospitality, genuine expertise and memorable experiences.
We are seeking an experienced Venue Manager to lead the day-to-day operations and continue to build Gladstones’ reputation as a destination for wine lovers and premium hospitality experiences.
About the Role
As Venue Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of venue operations, ensuring every guest experience reflects the sophistication and excellence that defines Gladstones. Operating Wednesday to Sunday, predominantly afternoons and evenings, you will lead a passionate team while driving service standards, commercial performance and memorable wine-led experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day operations of Gladstones, ensuring exceptional service and presentation standards
- Inspire, coach and develop a high-performing front-of-house team
- Deliver premium guest experiences through wine knowledge, hospitality and personalised service
- Coordinate wine tastings, private events and functions while building strong guest relationships
- Drive venue performance through effective rostering, cost control, compliance and floor leadership
- Build relationships with guests, wine enthusiasts and industry partners
- Manage rostering, labour costs, inventory and venue compliance requirements
About You
- Previous experience as a Venue Manager, Bar Manager or senior hospitality leader within a premium venue
- Strong wine knowledge and genuine passion for wine culture, producers and regions
- Experience delivering events, functions and elevated guest experiences
- Commercially focused with proven success leading teams and delivering exceptional operational outcomes
- Ability to thrive in a boutique, hands-on environment where every detail matters
- Polished and professional, with WSET or equivalent wine qualifications highly regarded
To Be Successful, You'll Need
- A current Approved Manager's License or willingness to obtain one
- Full availability across a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
