Bethanie Home Care offer a variety of services to ageing Australians, allowing them to live independently in their own homes throughout Perth, Geraldton and in the South West.
We provide support with day-to-day living including personal care, domestic assistance and gardening services, as well as respite services and social support.
We are currently seeking an experienced Unqualified Support Worker to provide services in the Upper South Metro area, from Belmont to Fremantle, Armadale to Hammond Park and all suburbs in between.
At Bethanie, we aim to have to you work with the same clients as much as possible over the course of your employment. We have a dedicated rostering team who work with you and with our clients to facilitate this.
As an Unqualified Support Worker, your focus will be to support our clients to continue to live at home in a clean, safe environment as well as providing transport and assistance with meals.
To be successful in this role, you must be available to commit to:
- Permanent part time employment, working a minimum of 15 – 20 hours per week.
- Shifts between the hours of 9am – 3pm across Monday to Friday.
As you will be required to use your own car in this role, we offer a travel allowance per kilometre.
About You
- Previous experience working in an aged care or community care environment
- Hold a current driver’s licence and have access to a reliable vehicle
- Current National Police Clearance (or willing to apply for one)
- Proof of at least one Covid vaccination and 2026 flu vaccination (or willing to obtain).
The Role
- Professionally deliver a variety of services including food preparation, cleaning and laundry services, personal care, as well as supporting hobbies, interests and leisure activities
- Ensure all living areas of clients’ homes are kept clean, tidy and safe from hazards
- Ensure all tasks and outcomes are met and documented appropriately
- Support clients with transport to appointments
- Provide social support to clients by spending time doing the things they love
- Prioritise a personal connection with clients, ensuring respect and compassion is shown at all time
