About The Opportunity:
We are looking for a
Assistant Head Sommeliers to join our opening team at Wishbone. Deliver exceptional wine experience, you will have an unwavering passion and appreciation of wine. This is a hands-on role with focus on service delivery, upkeep, and maintenance of the wine cellar. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new venue and help shape the guest experience from day one.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Demonstrated experience as an Assistant Head Sommelier
- Extensive knowledge of wine, new and old world
- Passion for the wine industry
- Strong understanding of management practices
- Demonstrated experience in leading high-performing teams and exceeding targets
- Exceptional service skills and guest focused
- Experience with stock control and inventory management is advantageous
- Must be up-to-date with industry trends
- Highly adaptable and able to perform in high-pressure service periods
- Proven ability in building effective relationships
- Organisational and time management skills
- Exceptional communication and presentation
- Full time availability including weekends, public holidays, opening and closing shifts
- WSET certification or similar is highly regarded
- Victorian RSA certificate
