The Opportunity
You will deliver high-quality teaching across finance discipline areas, designing and coordinating units that support student progression from undergraduate study to postgraduate research. You will contribute to curriculum development, ensuring content reflects contemporary practice and is informed by research and scholarship.
You will engage in research and scholarly activity within your discipline, publishing outputs and contributing to grant applications. You will supervise research students and help build a strong pipeline of higher degree research candidates. Collaboration is central to the role, working with academic colleagues across the School and Faculty to strengthen teaching delivery and research outcomes.
You will build effective relationships within the University and with external stakeholders, contributing to discipline groups and professional networks. You will also participate in academic administration and support initiatives that advance the School’s strategic direction and student success.

About You
You are a collaborative and motivated academic who is passionate about delivering high-quality teaching, conducting impactful research, and contributing to an inclusive and collegial academic community. You are committed to student success, innovation in teaching and learning, and engagement with industry and community.

A PhD in Finance or a closely related field.

Excellent record in university-level teaching evidenced through feedback (from students, peers, and/or supervisor) and curriculum development.

A developing research profile with evidence of high-quality journal publications, or demonstrated capacity to publish in ABDC A* and A ranking journals.

Expertise in FinTech and digital finance is highly desirable.

Experience in curriculum design and innovation is preferred.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, colleagues, and industry partners.
