Develop FLANDERS as a preferred partner in a geographical, established market, building opportunities for electric motor repairs, new electric motors and new industry segments. This is a ‘hands on’ sales role and requires the development of deep customer relationships and a solutions focus to maximize and convert opportunities.
Primary Responsibilities
- Responsible for achievement of sales targets and maintaining margin through multi-level planned contact with a mix of both technical and commercial acumen predominantly within the Mining, Mineral and Heavy Industries.
- Attend customer meetings to identify opportunities, qualify leads, and provide quotes for FLANDERS products and services.
- Develop strong business relationships with decision makers and maintain a thorough understanding of the target market positioning FLANDERS to be successful.
- Monitor customer satisfaction and promptly investigate and utilize internal SME’s to resolve customer issues. Escalate issues to appropriate internal departments as needed.
- Be a key ‘voice of the customers’, communicating effectively with the Sales Manager and Leadership team to identify solution needs and critical gaps for success in the market.
- Maintain knowledge of market and industry trends and competitors and establish customer account management strategies to ensure FLANDERS’ equipment offerings are highly competitive.
- Develop a comprehensive knowledge of FLANDERS’ products and services and the value they drive into TCO and in reducing operational downtime and rotable equipment failure.
- Develop strong internal relationships with Flanders leadership team, Technology and Field Service teams
- Maintain accurate records and forecasting information into Hubspot
- Develop a strong safety culture in compliance with FLANDERS corporate safety standards.
- Liaise with the Workshop Manager to gain alignment on delivery outcomes ensuring we can meet the customers’ requirements.
- Lead by example and demonstrate FLANDERS core values, keep people safe, do the right thing, understand the customer, deliver excellence, take ownership and use data.
- Follow all FEAU Policies, Procedures, SOP’s and reasonable management directives.
- Ensure you protect, secure and keep confidential customer information, intellectual property and other private and confidential information.
- Comply with all reasonable training requests in accordance with FEAU Policies and procedures, as well as requested by management.
Performance targets and outcomes
- Document sales plans and forecast accurately and timely into CRM systems to provide insights on the customer perspective, pipeline management, current/future projects.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 5 years infield, territory sales
- Experience in selling technical solutions
- Proven track record in qualifying and converting leads to sales.
- Demonstratable success in the sales stage-cycle including prospecting, negotiation, overcoming objections, and closing
- Proven ability meeting and exceeding established sales goals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
- Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with current and potential customers.
- Strong working knowledge of personal computers and Microsoft Office software.
- Frequent intrastate and occasional interstate travel required.
Desirable Requirements
- Sales experience within the mining sector would be well regarded
- Electric motor or control system related experience would be advantageous.
- MBA would be advantageous
