VIDA Health (Victorian Health Building Authority) is responsible for the rollout of the Victorian Government's multi-billion-dollar health capital projects. We're delivering world-class health facilities across Victoria including new public hospitals and emergency care, community health services, ambulance branches, residential aged care and mental health facilities. VIDA Health also provides technical support across engineering, property, asset management and environmental sustainability disciplines.
The Opportunity
As a Senior Scheduler, you'll lead the development and management of project schedules across major health infrastructure projects. Working closely with project teams and the Director, Scheduling, you'll provide expert advice, track project performance, identify risks and critical activities, and drive timely solutions. This role will initially support the Technical, Design, Assurance and Planning Services (TDAPS) and Sustaining and Enhancing Capital (SEC) branches. TDAPS provides technical expertise, design and assurance services, development planning, and business case development to support the successful delivery of VIDA Health's major infrastructure projects. SEC administers Victorian Government grant programs that support health, mental health and aged care services across Victoria.
Key aspects of the role include:
- Partner with project teams to develop realistic project schedules and monitor progress against key milestones.
- Identify schedule risks and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
- Undertake detailed review and evaluation of the construction Contractors’ tender programs for the various projects and provide evaluation recommendations based on key selection criteria.
We are looking for:
- Strong knowledge of project planning and programming, with experience coordinating scope, disciplines, and delivery stages across complex construction projects.
- Proven experience developing and managing project programs, schedules and reporting across the full lifecycle of major social infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in Power BI, staging diagrams and visual reporting tools to support project planning and delivery.

- Turn evidence and analysis into practical advice that improves planning, project controls and delivery outcomes.
- Build trust through clear, balanced advice and constructive relationships with project teams and stakeholders.
- Approach scheduling challenges creatively, connecting scope, risk, cost and delivery to identify better solutions.
- Be comfortable exploring new approaches when established methods are not achieving the right outcome.
