At Tenji we are looking to hire an employee who has an interest in becoming an Industrial sewing machinist for our busy manufacturing company situated in Yatala. This role is perfect people who are looking long term work in a growing industry.
To be eligible for the role you must have the following:
- Interest in sewing heavy fabrics for displays and signs
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- A strong safety focus
- Have a reasonable level of fitness and ability to lift rolls of fabric
- The ability to do and learn a broad range of duties other than sewing eg. Dispatch and general workshop duties
- MUST be able to work fast and efficiently as we are a very fast paced production company.
You must be motivated, hard working and have good communication and some basic computer skills. You must also be reliable and take personal pride in quality work.
Experience in Industrial sewing of large items such as shade sails, canvas signs or fabric exhibition displays etc. is preferred but not essential.
Pay: $28.00 – $37.00 per hour
