Salary - $77,000 - $85,000 plus superannuation per annum

THE ROLE:
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and reliable Baker to become part of an experienced bakery team. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing and baking a wide range of breads, pastries, pies, cakes and other baked products while maintaining consistently high standards of quality, presentation, hygiene and workplace safety.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
· Prepare, mix, knead, prove and bake a variety of breads, rolls, pies, pastries, cakes, slices and other bakery products in accordance with recipes and daily production requirements.
· Measure and combine ingredients to prepare doughs, batters, fillings and icings with accuracy and consistency.
· Operate bakery equipment including mixers, dough dividers, moulders, sheeters, proving cabinets and commercial ovens safely and efficiently.
· Monitor fermentation, proving and baking times to ensure products consistently meet quality and presentation standards.
· Decorate, glaze, finish and present bakery products to a high standard.
· Monitor ingredient stock levels and assist with ordering, stock rotation and minimising waste.
· Store raw ingredients and finished products in accordance with food safety and quality assurance requirements.
· Maintain a clean, organized and hygienic bakery and food preparation area at all times.
· Work collaboratively with bakery and café staff to ensure production schedules and customer demand are met.
· Comply with Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) procedures and all food safety and hygiene regulations.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Relevant qualification, such as a Certificate IV in Baking (or agreed equivalent).
- Minimum of 3 years (preferably more) experience as a Baker in a commercial bakery.
- Experience producing a wide variety of breads, pies, pasties, cakes and other baked products.
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, food safety, hygiene and safe food handling practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment and meet daily production deadlines.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends and public holidays as required.
- A positive attitude with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- You must have unrestricted working rights to work full time in Australia to be eligible for consideration.
