The Role:
Deputy Residential Manager (Registered Nurse) | Full-Time | Corowa
As the Deputy Residential Manager, you are more than a second-in-command, you are a trusted and visible leader who plays a pivotal role in supporting both the Residential Manager and the broader care team. This is an additional Deputy Residential Manager position, created to strengthen clinical leadership within the home and enhance support for residents, families, and care teams. Your strong clinical expertise, hands-on approach, and calm leadership will help ensure the delivery of high-quality care, clinical excellence, and the smooth operation of a 24/7 residential aged care environment.
In this key leadership role, you will be actively involved in the day-to-day management of the home, supporting workforce planning, addressing clinical and operational matters, mentoring and developing staff, and promoting a culture of excellence. You will help drive high-quality, person-centred care, ensuring residents receive safe, compassionate, and dignified support while fostering positive relationships with families, staff, and healthcare partners.

Your key responsibilities will be:

Support high-quality, person-centred care and oversee the implementation of resident care plans.

Provide clinical leadership, guidance, and support to staff, residents, and families.
- Assist with operational budgets, resource management, and compliance reporting.

Ensure compliance with aged care legislation, accreditation standards, and audit requirements.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, training, performance development, and workforce planning.
- Lead clinical handovers, mentor staff, and foster a positive team culture.
- Drive quality improvement initiatives, risk management, and continuous service enhancement.
- Promote workplace health, safety, and emergency preparedness across the facility.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and stakeholders to ensure continuity of resident care.
- Undertake hands-on clinical duties where applicable and maintain high standards of care delivery.

Current AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse

First Aid Certificate with CPR
-
Training in AN-ACC or aged care funding models

Minimum 5 years’ experience working in aged care or health-related settings

Demonstrated experience in a supervisory or relieving leadership capacity
- Experience managing clinical assessments and compliance-related activities

Strong documentation, audit preparation, and reporting skills

Sound clinical leadership skills and ability to mentor others in high-stakes environments
