Your New Role
As a Customer Service Representative, your job duties & responsibility include but are not limited to the following:
- Proactively contact and farm existing customers to strengthen relationships and grow revenue.
- Identify and pursue upsell and cross-sell opportunities across the full range of services.
- Research each customer's shipment and service history before engagement, using it to inform tailored conversations and identify untapped opportunities.
- Act as the customer's primary relationship contact, coordinating with Operations and Procurement where needed on their behalf.
- Prepare and log a visit report in the CRM for every visit, capturing discussion points, customer feedback, opportunities identified and agreed next steps.
- Keep the CRM fully up to date, including contact details, activity history, opportunities and account notes.
- Keep each customer's client rates current and accurate in the system.
- Respond promptly to customer queries and escalations, looping in Operations for shipment-specific issues.
- Support the sales team with account insight for quotes, tenders and renewals.
What you will need to succeed
- Minimum 12 months Freight Forwarding experience, have sound understanding of the importing process including INCO terms, documentation, delivery and customs and quarantine requirements.
- Customer Service Representative experience
- Cargowise experience
