Burdekin Community Mental Health Service is a multidisciplinary community mental health service providing comprehensive, recovery-oriented care to consumers across the lifespan. Based at Ayr Hospital, the service supports adults, children and young people, older persons, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, and individuals who have contact with the criminal justice system.
The team is committed to providing responsive, person-centred care close to home, helping consumers achieve the best possible mental health outcomes within their communities. Working within a collaborative case-management model, clinicians partner with consumers, families, carers and key stakeholders to deliver high-quality assessment, treatment and recovery-focused support across the Burdekin region

Competitive salary and benefits:
We offer attractive remuneration packages and generous leave entitlements.
Base salary range: $128,169 to $137,918 p.a. (HP4)
4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
12.75% employer contribution to superannuation

About your opportunity
This role offers the opportunity to work within a supportive multidisciplinary team, delivering advanced mental health services to consumers across the lifespan. In consultation with the Team Leader, you will provide comprehensive assessments, case management and therapeutic interventions for people experiencing complex and severe mental health concerns, including co-occurring alcohol and other drug issues.
The position offers a diverse and rewarding scope of practice, including intake and assessment, ongoing case management, therapeutic support, and consultation services to local emergency departments and hospital settings. Working across a broad range of clinical presentations and age groups, you will further develop your clinical expertise while making a meaningful contribution to the mental health and wellbeing of the Burdekin community.
This is a temporary full-time position for 12 months, with the possibility of extension for a further 12 months.
