About the Role
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Airconditioning and Refrigeration Mechanic to join our team on a full-time basis.
The successful applicant will be responsible for installing, maintaining, servicing and repairing air conditioning and refrigeration systems across various project locations. The role will involve working with both VRV and split systems and performing installation, testing, fault-finding and repair activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, service and repair air conditioning and refrigeration systems and equipment.• Diagnose and rectify electrical and mechanical faults in air conditioning systems.• Install and work with piping, flaring, welding, control and interconnection wiring.• Conduct pressure and vacuum testing and commissioning of systems.• Perform fault-finding and repairs on VRV and split systems.• Read and interpret site plans and technical information.• Mark out equipment locations and prepare work areas.• Clean, adjust and maintain air conditioning and refrigeration equipment.• Maintain accurate records and inventories of equipment and resources.• Ensure all work complies with relevant Australian standards, workplace health and safety requirements and manufacturer specifications.• Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, customers and other trades on site.• Travel between project locations as required.
Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Relevant qualification in Mechanics Airconditioning and Refrigeration (Certificate III or equivalent).• Valid driver's licence.• White Card.• Minimum 1 year of full time relevant industry experience.• Sound knowledge of airconditioning and refrigeration systems, including VRV and split systems.• Ability to diagnose electrical and mechanical faults.• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.• Good organisational and problem-solving skills.• Willingness to work reasonable additional hours, including after hours, weekends and public holidays when required.• Ability and willingness to travel to different project locations.
