About the Role
As a Senior Project Manager at Rigcom, you will lead the successful delivery of wind turbine blade repair projects across our Wind Energy Services division. Working closely with clients, site teams and internal stakeholders, you will oversee project execution from planning through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely on time within budget and to the highest quality standards. This role offers a mix of office and travel to project sites depending on operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Lead the day-to-day delivery of wind turbine blade repair projects, ensuring safety, quality, budget and schedule objectives are achieved.
- Manage project performance, including project budgets, gross margins and resource allocation to maximise operational efficiency.
- Schedule project pipelines and workforce rosters to meet client requirements while effectively managing the fatigue and costs.
- Provide leadership and support to Site Leads and Blade Technicians ensuring projects are delivered to company quality and client standards.
- Collaborate with the Business Development Manager to ensure projects are executed efficiently and contractual commitments are met.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as the key point of contact throughout project delivery.
- Ensure all project activities comply with company policies and relevant workplace health, safety and environmental requirements.
- Collaborate with key technical and safety stakeholders to implement SWMS, operational procedures, and training programs that promote safe, compliant and high-performing project delivery.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Demonstrated knowledge of the wind turbine rotor blade repair industry, including repair methodologies, products and service solutions across multiple OEMs and suppliers.
- Minimum 3 years' hands-on experience performing complex blade repairs, including Leading Edge Protection (LEP) replacement, Gurney Flap and Serration installations, and blade inspections across ground-based, elevated work platform (EWP) and blade access repair platform (BARP) environments.
- Proven experience in project management within the wind industry.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and repair plans to ensure projects are completed in accordance with engineering and quality requirements.
- Current GWO Basic Safety Training (BST) and GWO Blade Repair (BR) certifications.
- Strong understanding of workplace health, safety and environmental (WHSE) requirements with a proven commitment to maintaining safe work practices.
- IRATA certification is highly regarded.
