Lead the delivery of innovative Audio Visual projects across Canberra and the surrounding region.
We are seeking an experienced AV Site Supervisor to provide on-site leadership and technical oversight for the successful delivery of AV integration projects. This role is ideal for an experienced AV Technician, Leading Hand or Supervisor looking to take the next step in their career and play a key role in delivering high-quality audiovisual solutions.
About the Role
This position will oversee day-to-day installation activities on site, coordinating labour, subcontractors, materials and equipment to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

Working closely with the AV Project Manager, you will supervise site-based AV installation activities and provide technical leadership to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
- You will coordinate labour, materials, equipment and subcontractors, monitor project progress, identify and resolve issues, and support installation, integration, testing, commissioning and handover activities.
- This hands-on leadership role requires strong technical knowledge of commercial audiovisual systems, excellent organisational skills and the ability to lead teams and deliver successful outcomes across commercial and government project environments.
Key Responsibilities
Site Supervision & Project Delivery

Lead and coordinate day-to-day AV installation activities across multiple project sites.
- Plan and manage labour resources, materials, equipment and subcontractors.
- Monitor project progress and communicate risks, delays and opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure works are completed in accordance with project requirements, schedules and quality expectations.
- Support planning, reporting, contract variations and resource management activities.
- Provide leadership, direction and accountability for site teams.
AV Installation & Technical Delivery

Install, terminate, test and troubleshoot audiovisual systems and supporting infrastructure.
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, system diagrams and rack layouts.
- Build and wire equipment racks to a high standard of workmanship.
- Provide technical support during installation, integration, commissioning and project handover.
- Diagnose faults and coordinate repairs, replacements or warranty requirements as required.
- Work closely with commissioning personnel to ensure successful system delivery.
- Maintain accurate installation, testing and project documentation.
Leadership, Safety & Quality

Mentor and support AV Technicians, Apprentices and Trainees.
- Promote best-practice installation standards and continuous improvement.
- Lead by example and foster a strong safety-first culture.
- Ensure compliance with WHS requirements, SWMS, site procedures and risk controls.
- Monitor workmanship and promptly address quality issues or defects.
- Maintain professional relationships with clients, project stakeholders and subcontractors.
About You
-
Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a commercial AV, telecommunications or technology environment, including experience supervising and coordinating installation teams
- Demonstrated experience leading AV installations and site-based project delivery
- Strong technical knowledge of commercial audiovisual systems, integration practices and supporting infrastructure
- Experience installing, testing and troubleshooting AV equipment, structured cabling and related technologies
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, rack layouts and project documentation
- Certificate III or IV in Telecommunications Technology or a related field (desirable)
- ACMA Cabling Licence.
- Strong leadership, communication, organisational and problem-solving skills
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and project documentation systems
- Australian Citizenship or the ability to obtain and maintain an NV1 Security Clearance.
- Current Drivers licence and industry certifications, including White Card, Asbestos Awareness, Asbestos Containment and Silica Awareness.
