At Kanda, we support people with disability to live independently and safely at home and in their community, through consistent, person-centred support from dedicated support workers.
We are currently expanding our team to support a growing number of participants across Western Sydney and Olympic Park.
This program involves regular ongoing shifts, 24/7 roster coverage, and complex care support needs, offering the opportunity to build consistent routines with participants and work as part of a reliable support team.
We are looking for support workers who are confident, experienced, and committed to delivering safe and structured care in a home and community setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing personal care (showering, dressing, toileting, grooming)
- Supporting continence care, bowel care and wound care needs
- Assisting with mobility and transfers using manual handling equipment
- Supporting medication administration
- Monitoring participant wellbeing and reporting changes in condition
- Completing accurate shift notes and incident reporting
- Supporting meal preparation, hydration and daily living activities
- Working collaboratively with team members to ensure consistent care delivery
About You
We are looking for support workers who are:
- Experienced in disability, aged care or complex care environments
- Confident providing high-intensity personal care supports
- Skilled in manual handling and use of mobility equipment (hoists, slide sheets, etc.)
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a small team
- Reliable and available across a 24/7 rotating roster, including overnight shifts
- Strong communicators with good documentation skills
