Primary Objective
Atamo is looking for graduates and recently graduated engineers to join our team. The successful applicant will have a keen interest in how things work and a passion for finding clever solutions to the challenges our clients bring to us. You will have the opportunity to be involved in all stages of the project and product development such requirements capture, prototyping, sub-system architecture, module development, testing (test-bench development), verification, demonstration, documentation and customer support.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Design and build embedded system hardware (schematic capture, PCB layout, test plans)
- Embedded software development
- Modifying existing software to provide bug fixes, enhancement, new features and porting to new hardware platforms
- Participate in system design reviews, hardware design reviews and code reviews
- Perform unit/module testing of software to confirm and meet specifications
- Work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment
- Field testing of products and systems and troubleshooting
Experience And Skills Required
- Good understanding of engineering fundamentals in EE disciplines of circuit theory and electronics
- Experience working in embedded C/C++
- Capable of creative thinking and working both in a team and individually on complex engineering projects
- Experience in component selection and integration for a complete embedded system (e.g. power electronics, analogue circuits, sensors, memories)
- Ability in schematic capture and PCB layout software (Altium Designer preferred)
- Aptitude for embedded systems debugging techniques, usage of software/hardware debuggers, emulators and protocols (e.g., JTAG, SWD)
- Familiarity with common embedded systems communications protocols (SPI, I2C, CAN, RS-422/485) — applications and implementation
- Experience with software configuration management tools/methods (e.g., Git, Subversion)
- A knack for thinking about how the parts of a system work together
- Flexibility and responsiveness in a fast-paced, dynamic, small team environment
- Self-motivated
Desired Qualifications
- Degree in Electronics and Control Engineering or equivalent
- Process strategic thinking and strong abilities to distil large amounts of information quickly and accurately
- Experience through a complete product lifecycle (requirements, design, build, test, manufacturing)
- Experience working on prototype, low-volume hardware
- Have a bias-to-action and desire to make things happen
- Be a passionate, hungry learner who gets excited about professional growth and being challenged by new opportunities
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $83,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
