Role Overview:
Located at our global head office in Kilsyth, Melbourne, this role will have responsibility for supporting operations with adherence to specifications, development and implementation of quality processes which enable goods to be delivered to the satisfaction of the customer, and leading continuous improvement activities with a strong focus on the detection of problems and their resolution. Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinating with manufacturing and suppliers the resolution of quality concerns, inclusive of containment, Root Cause Analysis, and preventative actions.
- Analysis of quality data for the purpose of continuous improvement activities.
- Implementation of quality related continuous improvement activities
- Auditing and ensuring policy and procedures are in compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001
- Auditing of products to established standards
- Advising production staff on conformance requirements
- Performing sample part inspection & measurements, and generating inspection reports
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, qualifications and attributes:
- 5 years of relevant experience in quality assurance, preferably in manufacturing environment. However, candidates with less experience are also encouraged to apply.
- Competent computer, organizational & communication skills.
- Experience precision measurements including probing and scanning using Romer Arms or other CMM machines. Proficiency in PolyWorks or similar, understanding of GD&T and basic knowledge of SolidWorks or other CAD systems.
- ISO9001 Internal Auditor certification would be an advantage but not mandatory.
- Understanding of electrical systems and wiring harnesses.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical skill and attention to detail.
- Problem solving skills with the ability to ask questions, get to the bottom of a problem and provide solutions.
- Self-starter, requiring limited supervision.
