Cleaning Supervisor – Hospital Environment
- Full-time, hands-on supervisory role within a hospital environment
- Monday to Friday roster, commencing at 6:00am
- Above Award rates, from $29.03 per hour

We are seeking a reliable and proactive Leading Hand Cleaning Supervisor to join our team at one of Brisbane’s largest private hospitals. This full-time, hands-on role will see you supporting, guiding, and working alongside a large cleaning team to maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
Your leadership will be key to delivering consistent standards, supporting team performance and helping create a positive, team-focused workplace that exceeds client expectations.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the site management team, you will:
- Lead, support and work alongside a large cleaning team
- Perform general and specialist cleaning duties in a hospital environment
- Sweep, mop and vacuum assigned areas to a high standard
- Clean and disinfect public spaces, meal rooms, offices, bathrooms and other designated areas
- Undertake manual handling tasks, including the safe use of cleaning equipment and trolleys
- Remove rubbish and dirty linen safely and efficiently
- Use cleaning chemicals to sanitise and disinfect in line with site procedures
- Monitor cleaning standards, support daily workflow and proactively manage stakeholder expectations
- Model safe work practices and contribute to a strong safety and compliance culture
Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role, you will bring a strong work ethic, a safety-first mindset and the ability to lead by example. You will also have:
- Previous commercial cleaning experience, ideally within a hospital, healthcare or large-site environment
- Experience leading, supporting or supervising a team
- Strong knowledge of cleaning, hygiene and infection-control standards
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- A hands-on approach and the confidence to work in a fast-paced environment
- The ability to follow site procedures, use cleaning chemicals safely and maintain high attention to detail
- A current national criminal history check, or willingness to obtain one
