Sneaky's Restaurant is looking for a motivated and organised Events & Function Assistant to join our team and help bring weddings, celebrations, and special events to life.
Located alongside the beautiful Virgara Wines in Angle Vale, Sneaky's is a family-owned Italian restaurant with a strong reputation for exceptional food, warm hospitality, and unforgettable events. From intimate celebrations to large weddings, we're proud to host some of the region's most memorable occasions.
Working closely with our Marketing & Functions Manager, you'll play a key role in supporting the planning and delivery of functions, weddings, and events while also assisting our Front of House and Administration teams. No two days are the same, making this an exciting opportunity for someone looking to build a career in hospitality, events, or venue management.
This is an on-site role with regular evening and weekend work, typically across a Friday–Sunday roster.
What You'll Be Doing
- Assisting with the setup and coordination of functions, weddings, and events.
- Acting as a point of contact for guests, vendors, and staff on event days.
- Supporting our Front of House team during function service.
- Assisting with restaurant bookings, phone enquiries, and guest communications.
- Completing administration tasks including booking confirmations and event preparation.
- Helping ensure every guest enjoys an exceptional Sneaky's experience.
About You
We're looking for someone who is friendly, reliable, and thrives in a busy hospitality environment.
You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience in hospitality, functions, events, restaurants, bars, or customer service.
- A current RSA certificate.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
- The ability to stay calm and efficient in a fast-paced environment.
- A genuine interest in functions, weddings, and events.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends.
- A love of Italian food doesn't hurt either!
