BREAKING: Nocturnal news aficionados, your perfect job just dropped.
Streem is ANZ's leading media intelligence platform, providing live monitoring of print, digital, TV, radio, podcasts, and social media to Australia and New Zealand's most influential organisations. Our Curation team powers the daily reports these clients rely on to stay ahead of every news cycle, working overnight to ensure reports land in inboxes on time.
Media is a 24/7 business, and so are we. We're looking for a Content Producer to join the night shift - Monday to Friday, 2am to 7am (part-time permanent or casual) - producing and approving Daily Email Reports (DERs) before the business day begins.
This role suits you if:
-
You're a natural night owl. You've worked nights before, or you genuinely function better after midnight.
- ️You follow Australian news and politics closely. You know the difference between a reliable source and noise, understand which outlets lead on which beats, and can spot a story's significance without prompting.
- ✍You write and summarise quickly and accurately under deadline pressure. You can distil a complex news cycle into a clean, client-ready report with speed and precision.
- You're self-directed. Working remotely in a quiet window means you manage your own time, flag issues proactively, and stay on track autonomously.
What you’ll do:
-
Curate and approve Daily Email Reports, including Coverage Summaries, Front Pages, Leading News Tables, and Stock Charts, for government and commercial clients;
- Produce transcripts and quality-check TV and radio content;
- Provide early-morning client support via phone, email, or live chat;
- Monitor team workflows and maintain service standards throughout your shift;
- Interpret client briefs and feedback to deliver tailored, accurate reports;
- Collaborate with Account Management, Sales, Product, and Engineering teams as needed.
What we’re looking for:
-
2 to 3 years of relevant experience;
- A strong working knowledge of the Australian media landscape (bonus points if you’re in tune with the political landscape);
- Excellent written communication, e.g. sharp, concise, and accurate under time pressure;
- The ability to juggle multiple client deadlines simultaneously without dropping detail;
- Strong critical thinking skills and comfort working with data, trends, and insights;
- A degree in Communications, Media, Journalism, PR, or a related field is a plus;
- Experience working night shifts, early mornings, or non-standard hours is a plus;
- Familiarity with media monitoring, analytics, or social listening tools is a plus;
- Proficiency with Google Suite, Excel, CRM platforms, project management tools, or Boolean search experience is advantageous.
A note from us: We’re building a team with varied strengths and backgrounds, so please don't be discouraged from applying if you don't meet all the above requirements. Whether you’re early in your journey or bring deeper experience, we’d love to hear about what you can bring to the Streem team.
Perks of the job:
-
Remote-first work setup
- ️ Extra leave days (paid birthday leave, wellbeing days, volunteering leave + more)
- $3,000 annual upskilling allowance.
- $2,000 referral scheme, corporate discounts, and novated leasing options.
If you live for the news cycle, thrive in the quiet hours, and want to join a team of media geeks, we look forward to hearing from you!
