About the role
The Old Grain Store is searching for an enthusiastic Kitchen Hand to join our kitchen team. Duties and responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Delivering consistent quality meals to our valued guests
- Work at a fast pace during peak times
- Demonstrating good communication skills
- Assist with food preparation, as requested by the Head Chef
- Washing, stacking and drying dishes and utensils, and ensuring bench tops are clean and sanitary
- Assist with pack-down and end of shift cleaning tasks as directed by the Head Chef
Our Ideal Applicant (preferred but not required:
- Provides consistent quality food in keeping with the current menu
- Has good communication and problem-solving skills
- Can demonstrate some experience in food preparation and presentation
- Can work independently where needed, as well as enjoy working as part of our team
