Microhire is Australia’s leading event staging and AV solutions provider, and we’re seeking two client-focused Event Staging Managers to join our Sydney team. These roles will support high-profile venue environments known for hosting world-class, unforgettable experiences across a wide range of event formats.
This is a role for someone who enjoys being both commercially focused and highly relationship driven, building trusted partnerships with clients and venue stakeholders, leading Microhire’s presence onsite, translating event ideas into clear AV solutions, and ensuring every brief is professionally scoped, quoted, and handed over for seamless delivery by our expert technical team.
What You’ll Do:
- Act as a primary point of contact for clients and our venue partner, nurturing strong relationships built on trust and responsiveness
- Take detailed briefs, create accurate AV quotes and tailored proposals
- Recommend creative technical solutions that align with client objectives and venue capabilities
- Manage internal handover to technical and delivery teams, maintaining oversight through to event execution
- Support a broad range of events, from corporate functions and gala dinners to conferences, major productions, and premium hospitality experiences.
- Ensure all activity complies with internal sales processes and venue-specific procedures
- Represent Microhire with professionalism and confidence in a premium hospitality environment
What We’re Looking For:
- 3+ years’ experience in event staging, technical sales, or AV account management
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills, ideally within premium venues, hospitality, major events, or production environments
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with a focus on clarity, professionalism, and persuasion.
- Solid understanding of AV technologies (audio, vision, lighting, IT)
- Confidence in quoting, budgeting, and converting briefs into compelling proposals
- Professional presentation and stakeholder management
- Working rights in Australia
