As a
People & Culture Advisor, you’ll be part of our national People & Culture team, providing practical, timely and people-focused advice to our hospital leaders and teams across Australia. This is a Full time 12-month fixed-term contract position.
This is a hands-on generalist HR role, with a strong focus on employee relations, performance and conduct matters, policy and employment advice, compliance and supporting leaders through day-to-day people challenges.
You will work closely with our People & Culture Business Partners and People Services team to ensure matters are managed fairly, consistently and with the right level of support and escalation.
You wil also support key People & Culture processes including performance reviews, remuneration activities, return-to-work, visa and work-rights compliance, people-related change and broader P&C initiatives.
What's Involved
- Provide pragmatic, practical HR advice and support to leaders across the employee lifecycle.
- Coach and guide leaders through performance, conduct, disciplinary, grievance and workplace conflict matters.
- Provide advice on employment legislation, policies, modern awards and industrial relations requirements.
- Support return-to-work activities, visa and work-rights compliance and other employment-related matters.
- Support key People & Culture processes including performance reviews, remuneration, learning, succession and development initiatives.
- Use people data and stakeholder feedback to identify trends, risks and opportunities to improve P&C services.
Who We’re Looking For:
You’ll be an experienced, hands on, HR generalist who enjoys partnering with leaders, solving problems and providing practical advice.
You’ll bring strong employee relations experience, sound judgement and the confidence to navigate sensitive people matters. You’ll be approachable, commercially minded and comfortable balancing compliance with a genuinely human approach.
You’ll also be someone who takes ownership, follows matters through and looks for ways to improve the way we support our people and leaders.
You’ll Need:
- A strong service mindset and ability to take ownership, problem solve and follow matters through to resolution.
- Demonstrated experience influencing, coaching and supporting leaders with performance and employee relations matters.
- Operational HR experience in an advisory role across multiple sites.
- Strong knowledge of employment relations, HR policies, industrial relations and relevant legislation.
- Sound judgement, discretion and the ability to manage confidential matters.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.
