A Youth Mentor/Employment Consultant's Day involves:
- Supporting and understanding a caseload of youth's barriers
- Engage with young people in the local community to attract eligible participants to the service
- Attend local secondary schools to provide information to staff and students about Transition to Work
- Creating and sourcing education and employment opportunities for clients
- Supporting clients to identify their skills and abilities
- Conduct, create, tailor, and implement an individual service plan
- Building sustainable and long-lasting relationships with local employers, registered training organisations and community organisations
- Maintain accurate records for clients
- Ensuring our local youth hub provides a safe and welcoming environment for young people
- Participate in local community, employment and networking events and forums to promote the transition to Work program
About You:
- Passionate about working with our clients and local community networks
- Excellent communication skills and positive attitude
- Experience working in a performance driven environment
- Qualification in Social or Youth Work (Desirable)
- Mental Health First Aid (Desirable)
- Qualification in AOD (Desirable)
- Previous experience in Employment Services, particularly Transition to Work

To be considered you must...
- Have full working rights in Australia
- Have a current driver's licence and a comprehensively insured vehicle
- Complete an Australia History Criminal Check
- Must have a current Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
- Ability to work Monday to Friday - 8:30am to 5:00pm
