Position Title: Electrical Engineering Technician
Overview: Working closely within the service and spare parts team and responsible for assisting in electrical engineering research, design, assembly, construction, operation and maintenance of company’s equipment, facilities and distribution systems.

Salary range: 75,000-80,000 AUD
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Preparing plans and diagrams of electrical installations and circuitry of company’s industrial and commercial equipment’s, using hand and power tools.
- Collecting data, performing tests and graphic results, and preparing charts and tabulations to ensure compliance with specifications and regulations.
- Assembling, installing and testing electrical equipment and installations to confirm with regulations and safety requirements.
- Diagnose and assess equipment and associated electrical component problems and issues.
- Repair and maintain the company’s electrical equipment, including but not limited to servicing, adjusting and testing.
- Configuring and testing of new/service equipment’s in terms of their software and ensuring they are equipped with updated software.
- Evaluate technical specifications and estimate material and component requirements for equipment maintenance and repair works, ensuring selected parts meet electrical standards and compatibility requirements.
- Carry out effective troubleshooting to minimise downtime and ensure equipment and quality satisfaction is delivered.
- Analyse information and evaluate results in order to choose the best solution and solve the applicable repair and maintenance problem.
- Inspect and test all in service electrical equipment for personal safety and comply with OH&S requirements at all times
Skill Level
- AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma (ANZSCO Skill Level 2) and at least one year relevant experience.
- At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed above. In some instances relevant experience and/or on-the-job training may be required in addition to the formal qualification.
Pay: $75,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
