What you will be doing
Our Support Workers put heart into everything they do. You'll spend your days helping people stay connected to the life they love in their own homes and community across Brisbane's western and north-west suburbs, including Kenmore, Indooroopilly, Chapel Hill, St Lucia, Ashgrove, The Gap, Mitchelton and surrounding areas.
This is a community-based role and you'll be travelling between homes throughout the local area during your shift. Because of this, the role may be best suited to people who live in or close to Brisbane's western and north-west suburbs.
You'll need a current Australian Driver's Licence and your own reliable vehicle. You'll use your vehicle to travel between homes and help transport the people we support in the community when required.
This is a casual opportunity supporting people Monday to Friday. We value flexibility and encourage you to share your availability preferences so we can work together to find a schedule that suits you.
You'll help with:
- Delivering care that's tailored to each person's needs and Care Plan
- Personal care, mobility support and medication reminders
- Preparing meals and supporting good nutrition
- Providing respite, whether that's at home or out and about in the community
- Lending a hand with household tasks like cleaning, laundry, bed making and shopping
- Offering social support that keeps people connected to what (and who) matters most
- You will thrive in this role if you
- Love getting to know people and building real, lasting connections
- Have experience in aged care, disability support, community work, or a similar role. A Certificate III is great, but heart and know-how matter just as much
- Show up with compassion, reliability and respect every time
- Feel confident working independently while staying connected to your local team and community
- Genuinely care about helping older Australians live life the way they choose
- Hold a current Australian Driver's Licence and have a reliable vehicle
- Have (or are willing to obtain) First Aid, CPR and a National Criminal History Check
