About the Role
As an Airport Lounge Supervisor, you will play a key role in supporting the successful opening and ongoing operation of our new Sydney Domestic Airport lounge.
You will lead by example, support and guide the team during each shift, and ensure our guests consistently receive a high-quality and memorable lounge experience.
Working closely with the Lounge Manager, you will help oversee daily operations, team performance, service delivery, food and beverage standards, cleanliness, safety and overall operational readiness.
Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Lead by example and consistently demonstrate Plaza Premium Group’s values and purpose.
- Deliver and promote an exceptional guest experience across all areas of the lounge.
- Provide leadership, direction and support to team members during each shift.
- Support the Lounge Manager with the overall day-to-day operation of the lounge.
- Assist with the successful opening and operational readiness of the new Sydney Domestic Airport lounge.
- Monitor staffing levels and deployment to ensure guest service, operational requirements and business objectives are achieved.
- Conduct daily team briefings and allocate duties effectively.
- Coordinate operational administration, including rosters, menu changes, stocktakes and daily management reporting.
- Ensure lounge opening and closing procedures are completed accurately and consistently.
- Monitor food quality, presentation, hygiene, cleanliness and overall lounge presentation.
- Ensure lounge facilities, equipment and operational areas are maintained to required standards.
- Handle escalated guest concerns and complaints professionally, discreetly and efficiently.
- Monitor service delivery and identify opportunities to improve operational standards, performance, guest satisfaction and safety.
- Support the recruitment, onboarding, induction and training of new team members.
- Coach and develop employees to ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures and service standards.
- Ensure compliance with Responsible Service of Alcohol requirements, food safety standards, Work Health and Safety procedures and other relevant regulations.
- Maintain confidentiality of company information and protect company assets.
- Foster a positive, collaborative and professional team environment.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for a passionate hospitality professional who has:
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to consistently work to high-quality standards.
- A genuine passion for delivering exceptional guest service.
- Proven leadership or supervisory experience within a fast-paced hospitality, customer service or similar environment.
- The confidence to lead, coach and motivate a diverse team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organisation and time-management skills.
- The ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive and hands-on approach to daily operations.
- A strong understanding of health, safety and hygiene requirements.
- The flexibility and commitment required to support a new lounge opening.
Key Selection Criteria
- Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification – mandatory.
- Previous experience supervising or leading a team in a busy hospitality, food and beverage, hotel, airline lounge or customer service environment.
- Strong ability to coach and train team members on Standard Operating Procedures and service expectations.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences.
- Previous airport or lounge experience is highly regarded but not essential.
- Full flexibility to work across a rotating roster, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays.
- Availability to commence from approximately mid-October 2026.
- Candidates must have full working rights in Australia.
