- Lead the development and delivery of Council’s workforce strategies, ensuring we have the capability, talent and culture needed to achieve our strategic goals.
- Partner with Executive and senior leaders as a trusted advisor on workforce planning, organisational design, employee relations and complex people matters.
- Drive organisation-wide initiatives that strengthen leadership capability, employee engagement, organisational performance and workplace culture.
- Lead enterprise bargaining, industrial relations and employee relations matters, balancing organisational outcomes with effective risk management.
- Inspire and develop a high-performing People and Culture team that delivers exceptional service and support across the employee lifecycle.
- Use workforce data, insights and continuous improvement practices to enhance services, inform decision-making and support organisational change and transformation.
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Industrial Relations or a related discipline, together with significant senior leadership experience in a People and Culture or HR environment.
- Strong strategic leadership skills, with the ability to influence executive decision-making and translate organisational priorities into practical people outcomes.
- Extensive experience in industrial relations, employment legislation, enterprise agreements and managing complex workforce matters.
- A proven track record leading organisational development, culture, leadership and change initiatives that deliver measurable results.
- Exceptional communication, relationship-building and people leadership skills, with the ability to build trust, drive collaboration and lead high-performing teams.
- Base salary between $122,986.33 and $143,268.27 (depending on skills and experience) + 13% superannuation + a 5.1% base salary increase in July 2026.
