Service Requirements:
- Availability:
- Thursday & Fridays: 12:00am – 04:00pm (with potential for additional hours)
- Occasional Saturdays: 9:30am – 12:30pm (with potential for additional hours)
- Service Duration: 4-hour sessions or more
- Transport: Must have a valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle
- Travel: Support workers must be able to travel to clients’ residences across the Northern Beaches
Role Overview:
You’ll provide weekly support to NDIS participants, assisting them in personal-care and accessing social and community activities. This includes:
- Assisting personal-care and independent living
- Accompanying clients to local events, appointments, or recreational outings
- Encouraging social engagement and independence
- Building respectful, trusting relationships with clients and their families
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in disability support, community care, or a related human services field
- Nursing background (Enrolled or Registered Nurse) highly regarded
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and support diverse participants
- Demonstrated commitment to respectful, person‑centred, and trauma‑informed care
- Current First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR (HLTAID009) certifications
- NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working With Children Check (valid and cleared)
- Current Driver Licence and reliable, fully insured vehicle
- Full working rights in Australia
