What's the role?
We are seeking a clinically qualified Nuclear Medicine Technologist / PET Technologist to join our Westmead team on a permanent full-time basis, working Monday to Friday across daytime clinic hours.
This opportunity would suit either:
- an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist looking to expand their PET capability, or
- a new graduate who already holds Diagnostic CT licensing and is looking to build their career within a supportive team environment.
PET training can be provided for the successful candidate if required.
Please note: this role requires applicants to hold clinical Nuclear Medicine qualifications and AHPRA registration permitting practice as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist/Scientist within Australia.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing high-quality Nuclear Medicine and PET procedures
- Delivering compassionate and patient-centred care
- Maintaining patient safety, confidentiality, and radiation safety standards
- Interpreting examination requests and performing procedures in accordance with legislation and departmental protocols
- Contributing to continuous improvement and ongoing professional development

Is the role right for you?
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- AHPRA registration as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist/Scientist
- A Radiation Use Licence and Diagnostic CT Licence relevant to your state/territory (or ability to obtain)
- Clinical Nuclear Medicine qualification permitting practice within Australia
- Strong patient care and communication skills
- Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a team
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
