The Civil Maintenance Foreman plays a pivotal role within the Civil Works & Presentation business unit, overseeing the delivery of both planned and reactive maintenance works on civil assets. This position is essential for ensuring that our infrastructure meets the agreed standards of quality, functionality, and safety. You will champion best practises in maintenance while ensuring compliance with Council policies and safety laws.
Your leadership will guide a specialist team, ensuring alignment with Council goals and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Collaboration with various stakeholders, including community groups and contractors, is key to achieving operational success.
We are seeking a proactive and experienced leader who is committed to the principles of safety, quality, and customer service. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience:
- Certificate III in Civil Construction.
- Current Class C Driver’s Licence and Traffic Control Ticket.
- Proven experience in leading civil works teams and managing workloads effectively.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to interpret priorities and coordinate resources efficiently.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills within a maintenance and construction environment.
- Competent with mobile devices and work management systems.
