We Frame It is setting up a new light gauge steel framing facility in Sunshine, part of a partnership with a major Victorian truss manufacturer producing an innovative, leading-edge panelised wall system.
We're building a casual crew to get the floor moving, with the work ramping up as demand grows.
The Role
This role involves assembling light gauge steel frames and panels plus general factory duties. No steel-frame experience needed — we'll train you. What matters most is that you're reliable, good with your hands and tools, fit, and quick to learn. Roll-former or assembly experience is a plus but not essential.
Responsibilities
- Assemble light gauge steel frames and panels to spec
- Help operate the FrameCAD and Howick roll-formers (training provided)
- Carry out QA checks before dispatch
- Keep the production area clean, safe and organised
- Run forklift operations as needed
What we're looking for
- Reliable, physically fit, and happy on a busy factory floor
- Confident with hand and power tools
- Quick to learn and keen to pick up a new system
- Strong commitment to safety and a tidy workplace
- Current forklift licence (or willing to obtain)
- Bonus: hands-on experience in steel frame assembly, fabrication or panel building
- Bonus: roll-former or machine operating experience (FrameCAD, Howick or similar)
What we offer
- $34–$35.50/hr + super, paid weekly (Casual Rate)
- Casual flexibility now, with a genuine path to full-time/permanent as the work becomes consistent — we're looking to grow this crew and promote from within
- A new facility with modern equipment, working on a genuinely innovative product
- Backed by an established group spanning steel supply, detailing, engineering and a sister factory in QLD
- On-the-job training on the LGS system and roll-formers
