As a Manager Urea & Solid Handling is responsible for the efficient and effective production, quality control, and overall management of urea manufacturing processes. This includes overseeing production operations, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations, managing a team of professionals, and collaborating with other departments to achieve production targets.
Qualification Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering.
· Minimum 20 to 24 years of relevant experience in Chemical engineering roles, preferably in a urea manufacturing plant or a similar chemical process industry.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
· Strong understanding of chemical processes, safety protocols, and environmental regulations.
· Willingness to stay updated on industry trends, advancements, and best practices in Mechanical Engineering in urea manufacture.
Key Responsibilities:
· Plant start-up, shut down and efficient plant operation with emergency handling.
· Managing trouble shootings and breakdown/trip analysis in Urea Plant.
· Interaction with various maintenance departments and should have knowledge of various Instrumentation Systems & distributing Control System Operation (DCS).
· Develop shift operating staff/ new trainees for taking charge at various locations with structured training program schedule made on various topics like plant operation / emergencies handling, EHS topics for subordinates’ development.
· Adhering to HSE norms & achieve the production target & specified energy norms up keeping of plant assets in good condition & suggest for any modifications if required and maintaining the company’s policies norms related to EHS and Energy Conservation which are relevant to Urea Plant Operation.
· Supervise and coordinate urea production processes to ensure optimal efficiency and output.
· Monitor production schedules, identify bottlenecks, and implement strategies to improve production capacity.
· Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure the production of high-quality urea.
· Collaborate with quality assurance teams to conduct regular inspections and tests to meet industry standards.
· Lead and manage a team of production and technical staff.
· Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards in all aspects of urea production.
· Implement and oversee safety programs and protocols to create a safe working environment.
· Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization.
· Implement innovative technologies and practices to enhance production efficiency.
· Collaborate with supply chain and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials and distribution of finished products.
· Develop and manage budgets for urea production, ensuring cost-effectiveness and financial sustainability.
· Prepare regular reports on production metrics, quality control, and other relevant key performance indicators.
