Position Overview
The Cloud Engineer will be responsible for building, managing, and optimizing cloud environments across public and hybrid cloud platforms. The successful candidate will work closely with development, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and operations teams to ensure reliable, high-performing, and cost-effective cloud solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure and services across AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Implement scalable, secure, and highly available cloud architectures.
- Monitor cloud environments to ensure optimal performance, availability, and security.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
- Manage cloud networking, storage, compute resources, and security controls.
- Collaborate with development teams to support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps initiatives.
- Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure and application issues.
- Optimize cloud resource utilization and cost management strategies.
- Implement backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
- Maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in cloud engineering, systems administration, or infrastructure engineering.
- Strong knowledge of AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform services.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.
- Familiarity with container technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Linux and Windows server environments.
- Knowledge of networking, security, identity management, and cloud governance.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Cloud certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Administrator, or Google Professional Cloud Engineer.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Experience implementing cloud security and compliance frameworks.
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability platforms.
