Job Description
The developer programmer is responsible for analysing, consulting on, and evaluating computer systems; gathering data to identify business requirements in the Real Estate Industry; and aligning ICT needs with the company's strategic direction by managing the implementation of current technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse, consult, and evaluate computer systems to identify business requirements and align ICT needs with the strategic direction of the company;
- Gather data to identify inefficiencies and recommend optimal business practices, system functionality, and behaviour in the Real Estate Industry;
- Lead the development lifecycle for key company projects, from initial concept through deployment;
- Create custom applications and solutions based on the technical specifications provided by the company;
- Evaluate, troubleshoot, identify, and rectify flaws and malfunctions within an application;
- Take responsibility for deploying functional solutions, i.e. creating, adopting and implementing system test plans, which ensure acceptable quality and integrity of the system;
- Utilise data and process modelling techniques to create clear system specifications for the design and development of system software;
- Design, develop and integrate third-party APIs and tools to enhance the functionality and efficiency of existing systems;
- Design, implement, review, and maintain the software application or user interface development;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyse and assess the business requirements of system programs;
- Attend meetings and professional development activities; and
- Provide advice on industry trends and software development advancements to propose innovative solutions.

The Successful Applicant
Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in Information and Communication Technology or a related discipline, together with a minimum of three years of relevant experience. Experience within the real estate industry and holding an Agent’s Representative Certificate qualification will be highly regarded. A sound understanding of real estate industry practices, regulatory requirements, and relevant legislation will also be advantageous.
Advanced management skills are essential, demonstrating a proven ability to collaborate effectively within a multicultural team and to address challenges proactively in a multidisciplinary environment. Additionally, candidates should have the necessary skills and experience to communicate effectively with a broad spectrum of stakeholders, including senior executive management, client agencies, consultants, and other relevant entities.
