Marco Polo Kitchen is looking for a hands-on Catering & Operations Coordinator to be the
engine room of our corporate catering business. If you love organised chaos, thrive on solving
problems on the fly, and get satisfaction from a perfectly run day - this is your role.
You'll be the link between our kitchen, our clients, and our café teams - making sure every
order, delivery, and detail lands exactly right.
The Role
Based at our Brisbane CBD head office, you'll manage catering orders from first enquiry through
to delivery, keep our admin running smoothly, and support the leadership team across day-to-
day operations. No two days look the same - one minute you're confirming a 50-person order,
the next you're troubleshooting a last-minute dietary change or chasing a delivery driver.
This role suits someone highly organised, proactive, and unflappable under pressure &
someone who genuinely enjoys the pace of hospitality.

What You'll Do
Catering Coordination
● Manage incoming catering enquiries via phone, email, and online ordering platforms
● Process and confirm orders accurately and efficiently
● Liaise with the kitchen on production requirements and deadlines
● Prepare daily run sheets, labels, and delivery schedules
● Handle last-minute changes and special requests without missing a beat
● Communicate dietary requirements clearly across the team
● Deliver exceptional customer service from enquiry to delivery
● Follow up with clients to build lasting relationships
Admin & Office Support
● Manage daily inboxes and phone enquiries
● Maintain customer databases, account records, and contact lists
● Assist with invoicing, purchase orders, and account reconciliations
● Support weekly reporting for management
● Maintain filing systems, documents, and internal SOPs
● Support supplier communications and ordering
● Keep the office running smoothly day-to-day
Operational Support
● Help refine systems and workflows for greater efficiency
● Support seasonal campaigns, promotions, and events
● Assist with internal communications across multiple café locations
● Spot opportunities to improve customer experience
● Jump in wherever needed - this role is genuinely varied
