IMMAC-AIR Pty Ltd is an established HVAC and mechanical services company operating across Sydney. We specialise in the installation, servicing and maintenance of commercial, industrial and residential air conditioning and ventilation systems. Our projects range from large-scale commercial mechanical installations to residential climate control systems, with a strong focus on quality workmanship, compliance and reliable service delivery.
Due to continued business growth, we are seeking for an Air Conditioning Mechanic with proven experience working in a variety of settings. This position is a full-time ongoing position, working 38 hours per week based in Sydney NSW.
About the Role
As an Air Conditioning Mechanic, you will play a key role in our service and installation team, ensuring the efficient operation, installation, and maintenance of air conditioning systems. Your technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and commitment to quality workmanship will support our reputation for delivering reliable, high-standard HVAC solutions.
Your responsibilities will include:
· Installing, maintaining and repairing air conditioning systems across residential, commercial, and industrial environments.
· Assembling, installing and commissioning HVAC components including split systems, ducted systems, package units and ventilation fans in accordance with project plans and specifications.
· Reading and interpreting technical drawings, wiring diagrams and job specifications to determine appropriate installation methods and materials.
· Conducting routine service inspections, performance testing and preventative maintenance to ensure systems operate efficiently and comply with safety standards.
· Diagnosing and troubleshooting faults in mechanical and air conditioning systems and performing repairs as required.
· Ensuring safe handling and installation practices in line with workplace health and safety requirements and Australian Standards.
· Maintaining accurate records of work performed, including service reports, fault diagnostics and maintenance activities.
· Communicating professionally with supervisors, clients and other trade personnel to coordinate work and ensure quality outcomes.
Skills & Experience – Who we’re looking for:
For this position, it is expected that you would possess the following qualifications/work experience:
· Minimum Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (or equivalent qualification), OR at least 3 years of relevant work experience.
· Demonstrated hands-on experience in the installation, servicing and repair of air conditioning and ventilation systems in residential and commercial environments.
· Sound technical knowledge of HVAC systems, components and associated mechanical equipment.
· Ability to read and interpret mechanical and architectural drawings, wiring diagrams and technical specifications.
· A valid driver’s licence and White Card.
· Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a team and liaise professionally with clients and contractors.
· A strong commitment to workplace health and safety standards and compliance with Australian regulations.
· Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage tasks across multiple projects.
