Reporting to the Group Talent Acquisition Manager you will play a key role in driving the organisation’s end to end talent acquisition strategy by delivering customer-focused recruitment activities that align with current and future workforce needs.
This will also involve coordinating and managing recruitment campaigns including advertising across job boards, database management, pre-screening talent, scheduling and attending interviews, negotiating offers and taking successful candidates through the onboarding process
The Team
This is a great opportunity for an experienced in-house recruiter who wants more than BAU delivery. Reporting to the Group Talent Acquisition Manager based in New Zealand, you’ll be part of a collaborative Talent Acquisition team working across Australia, New Zealand and Malaysia, partnering with leaders on meaningful hiring challenges and helping shape how talent is attracted across the business. You’ll have the variety that comes from hiring across both technical and technology portfolios, along with the support of a connected wider team.
About the Role
- Lead end-to-end recruitment across Australia and New Zealand for a mix of technology, engineering, automation, technician, trades and site-based roles, giving you variety across both white-collar and blue-collar hiring.
- Partner closely with hiring leaders to scope roles properly, shape practical recruitment strategies and support hiring decisions that reflect market realities, location constraints and business priorities.
- Use your sourcing capability to build pipelines for hard-to-fill roles, tapping into talent pools, referrals, market maps, direct search, SEEK, LinkedIn Recruiter and ATS databases to uncover strong talent.
- Provide practical market insight to stakeholders on candidate availability, attraction strategy, competitor activity and hiring risks, helping the business make informed hiring decisions.
- Deliver a strong candidate experience from first approach through to offer, balancing pace, communication and process discipline while maintaining high standards.
- Contribute to reporting, continuous improvement and smarter ways of working as part of a connected trans-Tasman Talent Acquisition team
About You
Talent is a fast-moving dynamic area within People and Culture, this role is perfect for a Talent Professional with energy and drive, the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders, a love for all things talent and is a self-starter, able to manage your time and prioritise your workload.
To be successful in the role we are looking for:
- Proven experience in-house, ideally in a Talent Acquisition Partner, Talent Advisor or Internal Recruiter role.
- Strong track record recruiting technical, engineering, field-based, trades, operations, technology or other hard-to-fill roles.
- Confidence running direct sourcing strategies and building talent pipelines, not just managing applicants.
- Strong stakeholder partnering skills, with the credibility to provide practical advice and build trusted relationships with hiring leaders.
- Hands-on experience using LinkedIn Recruiter, SEEK Search and applicant tracking systems to manage search activity and recruitment delivery.
- A practical, commercially aware approach with strong attention to detail and a genuine focus on candidate care.
