About VIDA Health
VIDA Health (Victorian Health Building Authority) is responsible for the rollout of the Victorian Government's multi-billion-dollar health capital projects. We're delivering world-class health facilities across Victoria including new public hospitals and emergency care, community health services, ambulance branches, residential aged care and mental health facilities. VIDA Health also provides technical support across engineering, property, asset management and environmental sustainability disciplines.
The Opportunity
Join VIDA Health’s Legal Team as a Paralegal and play a key role in supporting the delivery of Victoria’s largest health infrastructure projects. We are seeking a legal professional who is passionate about the paralegal profession and enjoys the operational, organisational and practical aspects of legal work. This role offers the opportunity to build a meaningful and long-term career within a collaborative in-house legal environment, rather than a pathway to practising law.
Working alongside experienced legal practitioners, you will provide essential support across construction, property, procurement, contracts, public law and government decision-making. In doing so, you will contribute to projects that positively impact communities across Victoria while deepening your expertise in legal operations, governance, contract administration and legal research.
Key aspects of the role include:
-
Provide timely, compliant and outcome‑driven paralegal support to VIDA Health’s Legal Team, contributing to the delivery of complex, large‑scale infrastructure projects.
-
Support the drafting and review of documentation across the procurement, development and delivery of VIDA Health projects, including internal and external briefs and key legal and governance materials.
-
Assist with managing external legal service providers and maintaining legal registers and templates.
We are looking for:
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively to deliver project outcomes and support stakeholders through challenging situations.
-
Excellent written communication skills, with experience drafting high‑quality project documentation and briefing papers.
-
Ability to work independently and remain effective and responsive in a changing and fast‑paced environment.
-
A legal qualification or similar will be highly regarded.
