ABOUT THE ROLE
Permanent | Full-Time | Monday–Friday | Flexible
Seeking an experienced Workplace Health & Safety Officer with proven expertise to join our outstanding team in Salisbury Plains, SA, 5109 in a permanent full-time capacity. If you’re already skilled in WHS and ready to make an immediate impact, we want you on board!
In this role your key responsibilities would include:
- Oversee WHS issues at assigned branches throughout South Australia and coordinate health and safety systems
- Perform WHS training and ensure all employees are adequately inducted and trained in all aspects of WHS and ensure WHS Inductions are completed for site visitors
- Complete risk assessments, safe work instructions, safety audits and reports, make recommendations and implement these recommendations
- Liaise with National Manager - WHSE on the development of WHS systems including policies, procedures and manuals
- Some branch operational duties are required
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following skills and experience:
- Tertiary safety qualifications in safety (Certificate IV in WHS or higher is desirable)
- A thorough understanding of WHS legislation Nationally
- Great working knowledge of computer systems and word processing skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a multi-faceted workplace
- Be organised and efficient, with strong attention to detail
- Have passion for safety, along with a can do and upbeat attitude to work
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills
