The Department of Health plays a critical role in the Victorian health system and is responsible for shaping it to meet the health needs of all Victorians. We’re focused on
supporting Victorians to be as healthy as they can; whether through alerting them to seasonal risks like thunderstorm asthma, notifying them of contact with
communicable diseases, safeguarding their drinking water, developing the best health, wellbeing and care facilities in the world, being at the forefront of mental health and
wellbeing treatment or accelerating medical research. It’s all part of the way we partner with the community to help every individual lead a healthy life.
About the role:
The Project Manager, Infrastructure Services plays a critical role in enabling the reliable, secure and efficient operation of the Department's technology environment by leading the delivery and ongoing management of infrastructure and platform initiatives. The Project Manager provides strong leadership across project delivery, operational readiness and service stewardship, working closely with internal technical teams, external vendors, executive sponsors and steering committees. The role is accountable for effective stakeholder engagement, financial and cash‑flow management, risk and issue management, quality assurance and performance reporting, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to agreed quality standards.
In addition, the role contributes to the broader objectives of the eHealth division by embedding best practice project management disciplines, supporting innovation and continuous improvement, and ensuring infrastructure initiatives enable digital transformation, productivity and safe, reliable service delivery across DH and DFFH under shared services arrangement.
