About the Role
We are seeking a self-motivated and enthusiastic Inside Sales & Sales Support Representative to support our ANZ Food and Nutrition (FNN) team.
The Inside Sales & Sales Support Representative plays a dual-role position, with a focus on Internal Sales (managing a portfolio of small customers) and Sales Support for the ANZ FNN team. The role is responsible for driving sales growth through proactive customer engagement, order management, and relationship building, while also supporting inventory planning, supplier coordination, reporting, and administrative sales functions to help achieve portfolio sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of this role, includes and not limited to:
Internal Sales – Small Customers
- Manage and grow a portfolio of small customers through proactive internal sales activities.
- Handle customer enquiries, quotations, pricing requests, and order processing.
- Build strong relationships with customers to identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
- Support new product promotions and campaigns with existing and potential customers.
- Maintain accurate customer records, pricing, and sales data in relevant systems.
- Analyse sales trends and customer purchasing patterns to support sales growth.
- Work closely with logistics and inventory teams to ensure timely delivery and stock availability.
Sales Support – FNN Team ANZ
- Support the Portfolio Manager (where necessary) with inventory planning and stock replenishment.
- Lead communications with the supply planners on order requisitions (currently comes through twice a week) based on firm sales orders processed in JDE and actively communicate and coordinate those order requisition details to the Shipping team to ensure orders are placed with our suppliers in a timely manner.
- Provide support to the ANZ commercial team by doing regular updated costings. Frequent communication will be required with our suppliers/our freight forwarders to get updated freight costs, clearance & local costs making sure that the costings are accurate.
- Proactively minimise aged and soon-to-expire stock through monthly inventory analysis and close collaboration with the sales team and to drive targeted sales initiatives.
- Work with suppliers to maintain up-to-date product information sheets, safety data, brochures, and regulatory compliance documentation, ensuring all information is stored on SharePoint.
- Review fortnightly open order reports and proactively communicate with customers regarding order status and any potential or confirmed delays to proactively manage the Customer delivery communication.
- Manage incident reports, including customer complaints and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
- Assist with forecasting and preparation of monthly reports for Principals (where necessary).
- Achieve KPIs which will be based on key responsibilities and deliverables.
- Perform other activities as required.
Job Requirements
- Experience in Sales Support, Customer Service and Account Management, preferably with a chemical distribution company
- Demonstrated strong analytical capability and effective verbal and written communication skills
- Practical strong problem-solving abilities with good organisational skills
- Positive, proactive mindset with a supportive and accountable work ethic and customer-centric attitude
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and strengthen relationships across all levels of the organisation, both internally and externally
- Preferred experience with JDE, Dynamics, or CRM systems
- Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
