About the role
Our Human Resources team is seeking an ambitious and enthusiastic Talent Acquisition Generalist to join the team on a full-time, 3-month maximum-term contract, with the possibility of extension based on business needs.
This role is ideally suited to an experienced talent acquisition professional with experience in a similar environment, including a law firm, professional services organisation, or legal recruitment agency.
Reporting to the HR Director and working closely with the broader HR team, key responsibilities of the role will include:
- Managing the full end-to-end recruitment process, including job description reviews, internal and external advertising, candidate management, screening, selection, onboarding and induction.
- Building strong relationships with Principals and divisional leaders across the firm to understand current and future staffing needs.
- Reviewing applications, shortlisting candidates and conducting initial candidate screenings.
- Conducting first and second-round interviews, both in person and via video conferencing.
- Undertaking targeted candidate searches to build and maintain strong talent pipelines.
- Developing and implementing attraction strategies to secure high-calibre talent.
- Assessing candidates against the firm's values, culture and role requirements.
- Maintaining accurate recruitment records, including candidate progression and vacancy status updates.
- Liaising with recruitment agencies regarding approved vacancies and candidate sourcing activities.
- Assisting with workforce planning initiatives across the firm.
- Supporting a range of ad hoc HR projects and generalist HR activities as required.
About you
To be successful in this role you will ideally have:
- Experience as a Talent Acquisition Specialist in a similar environment, preferably within a law firm, professional services organisation, or legal recruitment agency.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
- A genuine passion for recruitment and talent acquisition.
- Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Exceptional time management and organisational skills.
- A willingness to learn, a positive attitude, and a proactive approach.
- The ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality.
- The ability to effectively manage competing priorities and progress multiple tasks to completion within required deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders.
- Sound problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
