Passion for Empowerment is seeking a passionate and experienced Support Coordinator and/or Recovery Coach to join our growing team within the mental health and community services sector.
We are looking for a dedicated professional who is committed to supporting people living with disability and mental health challenges to achieve their goals, increase independence, and navigate their recovery journey.
This opportunity is suited to someone with experience in Support Coordination and/or Recovery Coaching, a strong understanding of the NDIS framework, and the ability to build positive relationships with participants, families, service providers, allied health professionals, and other relevant stakeholders.
We are seeking someone who is compassionate, organised, proactive, and passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of others through person-centred and recovery-focused practice.
As a Support Coordinator and/or Recovery Coach, you will work alongside participants to understand their goals, support the implementation of their NDIS plans, connect them with appropriate services, and assist them to build capacity and greater independence.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing person-centred Support Coordination and/or Recovery Coaching
- Supporting participants to understand and maximise their NDIS plans
- Assisting participants to identify and work towards their personal goals
- Building strong relationships with participants, families, carers, and support networks
- Coordinating with NDIS providers, allied health professionals, community organisations, and other relevant stakeholders
- Supporting participants to access appropriate services and resources
- Promoting choice, control, empowerment, and recovery-oriented practice
- Maintaining accurate case notes, documentation, and meeting service requirements
About You
We are seeking an individual who has:
Certificate IV in Mental Health (highly desirable)
Experience in Support Coordination and/or Recovery Coaching (highly desirable)
Strong understanding of the NDIS and participant pathways
Experience working with NDIS participants and relevant stakeholders
Current Blue Card
Current Yellow Card (NDIS Worker Screening)
Valid Driver’s Licence
Strong communication, organisation, and relationship-building skills

Experience working within recovery-oriented and trauma-informed frameworks

Position DetailsPosition: Support Coordinator and/or Recovery Coach
Employment Type: Part-time
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:30am – 4:30pm (minimum 30 hours per week)
Flexibility: Negotiable for the right candidateWe are open to tailoring the role based on the successful applicant’s experience, skills, and career goals.
We would consider appointing a dedicated Support Coordinator, Recovery Coach, or an individual able to fulfil both roles.
