About the Role:
The Research Operations and Clinical Trials team are seeking a Research Support Officer (Data and Analytics) to join the team on a temporary basis.
Working closely with the Biostatistician, you will support researchers across Canberra Health Services by providing statistical, data management and research support services. This includes preparing, cleaning, linking and analysing research data using statistical software such as R and Jamovi, and assisting with the interpretation and presentation of findings through reports, publications, presentations, tables and data visualisations.
You will also support the design and maintenance of research databases and surveys using REDCap, provide user support and troubleshooting, assist with data governance and security activities, and undertake routine system and database administration. Working collaboratively with researchers and multidisciplinary teams, you will contribute to service improvement initiatives, maintain accurate records and reporting systems, and support the delivery of high-quality research outcomes across the organisation.
You will have experience preparing, managing and analysing data in a research, health, academic or similar environment, with demonstrated capability using statistical software such as R, Stata, SAS, Python or comparable applications. You will be confident presenting analytical findings through reports, tables, charts and data visualisations and have experience developing surveys or databases using platforms such as REDCap, Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey or similar systems. Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills, together with a collaborative approach and attention to detail, will be essential to success in this role.
