About the Role
At Fresh Lane, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Cafe Manager to lead our team and oversee the day-to-day operations of our busy venue. The candidate must be passionate about hospitality, customer service, and team leadership, with the ability to maintain high operational standards in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations to ensure smooth service
- Ensure food and beverage service meets quality, safety and hygiene standards
- Monitor customer service and promptly resolve customer concerns.
- Oversee cash handling, POS reconciliation, and daily reporting
- Monitor business performance and implement strategies to improve sales and profitability.
- Maintain compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
- Develop and implement operational procedures to improve efficiency.
- Manage rosters, wages, and budgets to meet profitability targets.
- Coordinate with suppliers to order and maintain adequate stock levels.
- Develop marketing and promotional activities to attract customers.
- Ensure compliance with licensing, health, and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular staff performance reviews and training programs
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Cafe or Restaurant Manager or Assistant Manager role.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Proven ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with POS systems, stock control, and staff rostering.
- Knowledge of food safety and workplace health and safety requirements.

Pay: $78,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
