As our Health, Safety & Wellbeing Coordinator, you will work with a diverse range of stakeholders, from researchers to support teams, to provide operational and systems support for the implementation of the Institute's Health, Safety and Wellbeing programs. This role supports risk management, training, wellbeing initiatives, emergency preparedness and compliance activities while developing professional capability across a broad range of health and safety disciplines.
Key responsibilities:
- Respond to routine health, safety and wellbeing enquiries and provide administrative and operational support to stakeholders.
- Assist with health and safety assurance audits, worksite inspections and investigations.
- Support the promotion of hazard and/or incident reporting, risk assessment and consultation processes.
- Coordinate and support the delivery of Flourish Wellbeing events and initiatives.
- Support with the analysis and development of initiatives and communications for various platforms, including fulfilling reporting requirements across the Institute.
Located in our offices within Perth Children’s Hospital in Nedlands, this full-time role will be offered on an ongoing basis.
About You
This opportunity is well-suited to a proactive and people-focused graduate in Work Health and Safety, Allied Health, Occupational Hygiene or Psychology, who is looking to develop their HSW skills in an established team. The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Foundational knowledge of WHS legislation and risk management strategies.
- A proactive, professional and customer-focused approach with the ability to communicate with a broad range of stakeholders.
- Demonstrated capacity to exercise sound judgment and to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.
- Strong computer, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- An understanding of and complete commitment to confidentiality.
