- Manage the provision and operation of potable water supply, wastewater collection and treatment, and solid waste disposal facilities to protect public health and the environment
- Design and review sewage treatment systems, water supply infrastructure, and refuse disposal solutions that align with engineering best practice and environmental standards
- Develop, implement, and monitor environmental health and safety standards across project sites, conducting regular audits to ensure ongoing compliance
- Conduct environmental impact assessments (EIAs) and prepare detailed technical reports, submissions, and recommendations for internal and external stakeholders
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams, government agencies, and regulatory bodies to obtain environmental approvals and manage permitting processes
- Identify potential long-term environmental risks associated with engineering projects and recommend proactive measures to address them throughout the project lifecycle
- Monitor environmental performance data and analyse findings to inform continuous improvement in environmental management practices
- Provide expert guidance and support on environmental matters to project managers, clients, and site teams throughout all phases of project delivery
- Prepare and present environmental management plans, site-specific risk assessments, and compliance documentation in line with Australian standards and legislation

- Proven experience conducting environmental impact assessments and preparing associated technical documentation
- Strong understanding of water and wastewater treatment systems, stormwater management, and solid waste disposal processes
- Proficiency in environmental modelling, data analysis, and the use of relevant technical software
- Ability to interpret complex engineering and environmental data and communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing high-quality technical reports and regulatory submissions
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes within defined timeframes
- Current driver's licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required
