About the Role
You will provide high-quality, person-centred support to participants with a variety of support needs, including psychosocial and neurodivergent disabilities, physical and complex disabilities. Your role will involve promoting independence, community participation, and overall wellbeing while delivering care with dignity and respect.
Shifts are primarily available on weekends and throughout school holidays, with the opportunity for additional weekday shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care while maintaining participant dignity and choice.
- Support participants with daily living activities and community access.
- Deliver supports to individuals with psychosocial disabilities and neurodivergent conditions.
- Safely perform manual handling tasks using appropriate equipment and techniques.
- Implement Behaviour Support Plans and respond appropriately to behaviours of concern.
- Work with non-verbal and complex disabilities.
- Build positive and trusting relationships with participants and their families.
- Complete accurate documentation and progress notes.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary and participant-focused environment.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience working in disability support or a similar role.
- Minimum Certificate IV in:
- Individual Support
- Mental Health
- Community Services
- Disability
- Or another relevant qualification or tertiary degree.
- Demonstrated experience providing personal care.
- Demonstrated experience with manual handling.
- Experience supporting participants with psychosocial disabilities.
- Experience working with neurodivergent individuals.
- Experience supporting participants who present with behaviours of concern.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.

Requirements (or willing to obtain)
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Current Working with Children Check (where required).
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
- Current Australian Driver Licence and reliable vehicle.
- Comprehensive motor vehicle insurance.
- National Police Check.
- Medication Administration competency (or willingness to obtain).
